Global Information Technology Management

  • Built a Corporate IT staff to manage and set standards for network operations,  desktop applications and software development.

Business Applications

  • Applications experience includes manufacturing, sales/marketing, finance, human resources, business intelligence, environmental health and safety, and laboratory automation.

  • Implemented an integrated manufacturing system in 20+ sites (including the sales, finance, production planning, inventory and logistics modules to support the company’s global business strategy.

Technology Development

  • Project management including supervision of software developers and application support analysts through an empowered team concept.
  • Assisted a software company in evaluating their technical development process to recommend organizational and procedural changes to better meet their market needs.
  • Implemented an SQL Server-based data warehouse to interface with a process control system for data analysis and reporting by the production staff.
  • Implemented an enterprise Business Intelligence system providing managers with Windows-based drill-down screens to track daily production statistics.
  • Organized and built E-commerce Web sites.

Marketing Technology Solutions

  • Built an internal information technology consulting organization to support a global end-user community. This included hiring, building organizational procedures, managing the staff, identifying opportunities to internally "sell" the services, developing/managing the departmental budget.
  • Managed the growth of a company’s database publishing business to represent 25% of the total sales within a 5 year period. This included managing the technical staff that supported this product line.
  • Marketed LAN and Web-based software for human resources management, training management, applicant tracking and automated survey management. The marketing activities included lead identification, proposal generation and presentation, and pre-implementation support.
