The Business

Global gold mining company with multiple production sites in North America and Australia.

The Business Need

Select a global HRIS (Human Resources Information System) that would meet current and future HR requirements in a multi-site, multi-country organization.

Strategy

Evaluate and select the global software standard through an empowered team knowledgeable in the company's products and human resource requirements.

Approach

Evaluation team consisted of both managers and staff drawn from the company's HR function.  Representatives from Headquarters and Site locations included.  An executive "champion" was assigned to resolve issues in the senior ranks, unclog bottlenecks, etc.  Teams developed matrices of required functionality that were used in the initial evaluation, review of vendor proposals, and subsequent product demos.  A finalist and runner-up software vendor were selected and due diligence conducted.
